DescriptionAs part of the Regional Sales teams, the Clinical Nurse Consultant supports and promotes our products and programs through education, training, assessment, and problem solving in Pre and Post sales activities plus Implementations. This includes working with the ICU Medical team (Area Manager, Device Sales Specialists, National Pharmacy Consultant, Regional Sales Manager, Marketing, etc.) to plan and execute regional, territory, and account plans.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of products, services and clinical recommendations to positively influence sales opportunities and implementations; portfolios include Consumables (Clave portfolio, PIVC, IV Sets, Oncology, and other ancillaries), Infusion Systems (Plum360, Solo, Duo, CADD, Medfusion), Temperature Management, Pain Management, and IV Solutions; Educate / train on the utilization of Lifeshield, MedNet and Pharmguard safety software system
- Collaborate with sales team to develop strategies and action plans to clinically influence decisions toward new products and services and drive acceptance and satisfaction in multi-site or complex clinical environments through the Regional, Territory, and Account planning processes
- Serve as lead nursing consultant and resource to internal and external customers in multi-site and/or complex environments for all Pre and Post Sales activities and Implementation plans
- Serve as lead educator and liaison between internal resources and customers as it relates to product and system Implementations
- Develop and lead in-service program of products at customer facility
- Develop and lead account specific programs aimed at retaining or growing ICU Medical’s product and service footprint
- Track all projects in Klient or other
- Mentor internal colleagues regarding best practices and changes in protocols
- Conduct presentations and discussions with key individuals/groups to address clinical issues or concerns
- Assist with product complaints, troubleshoot issues and liaison with other departments as necessary
- Maintain relationship with customers and ongoing support to users
- Maintain a high level of clinical and technical competence on relevant products, technologies, protocols, and programs.
- Support local and national product trials, product simulations, and trade shows
- Assist with RFP’s as required
- Work on special projects as they arise

- Computer literate and proficient in Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Outlook
Minimum Qualifications, Education & Experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required
- Current active RN license required, BSN or MSN preferred
- Minimum of 4 years of Hospital nursing experience
- Experience with specialization in IV Therapy, Critical Care, ED, Peds/NICU or Oncology
- Leadership, mentorship or educator experience
Work Environment
- This job is a field-based role.
- Work may be performed in a home office using standard office equipment, as well as on-site at customer locations
- Position requires active and current compliance with all credentialing requirements, including COVID-19 vaccination, to perform the essential function of your role at customer locations.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time; depending on the needs of a customer.
- As part of the scope of employment, the employee must hold a valid driver’s license as well as comply and meet the requirements set forth in the Authorized Driver Policy to drive on behalf of the company.
