About the Position

This is an incredible work opportunity in a fast-paced, innovative company that puts the patient at the center. This role is for a clinical care professional who delivers medical care using telemedicine modalities exclusively, including video, phone, connected devices, and asynchronous messages (chat/email).

Nurse Practitioners are members of an interdisciplinary care team working as staff clinicians with OpenLoop. They work independently and are responsible for diagnostic and therapeutic decision-making within the industry and locally established standards of care, clinical practice guidelines, and organization policies and procedures. OpenLoop is looking for Nurse Practitioners to provide comprehensive care to patients with neurocognitive disorder care, management, and treatment. This NP would work under the supervision of a physician to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with concussions. The NP also develops and implements treatment plans, educates patients and their families, and collaborates with other healthcare providers. This is a great opportunity to make an impact on the local communities while earning additional income and having a flexible schedule being fully remote.


Responsibilities
  • Review of patient health history intake forms
  • Review of patient lab work to identify potential care plans
  • Initial telehealth patient consultation to determine the need for, and specifics of, a personalized treatment plan for conditions such as tinnitus, vertigo, migraines, concussions, long COVID and more.
  • Recurring check-up telehealth appointments with patients to determine the need for any treatment plan adjustments
  • Update patient charts
  • Provide virtual telehealth services and appropriate clinical guidance or treatment
  • Having a genuine interest in patients, being empathetic to their concerns and meeting them where they’re at
  • Serve as consulting clinician to develop care plans, drive successful patient outcomes and prioritize continual improvements to your workflow
  • Collaborate with a supervising physician as required by state and practice guidelines


Requirements


  • Current national certification in family practice through ANCC, AANP, or another - nationally recognized certification

  • MUST have an active license and furnishing license in: California (CA)

  • MUST have 1-3 years of experience working in neurology, chronic pain management, psychiatry, or ENT.

  • Outstanding clinical expertise, evidence-based practice

  • Competent in providing patient education at every visit

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Above-average comfort with technology and assisting patients with troubleshooting technical difficulties that may occur in the home environment

  • Timely and professional

  • Visit Type: Combination of Synchronous and Asynchronous, predominantly Synchronous visits
