About our client: A leading healthcare services provider is seeking a part-time Medical Virtual Assistant to support its growing team of nurses and medical professionals. Dedicated to delivering compassionate, high-quality care, the organization is transforming how healthcare operates — combining excellence in patient support with the flexibility and efficiency of remote collaboration.

The Medical Virtual Assistant will support both administrative and patient-facing functions. This role requires strong communication skills, strict attention to confidentiality, and a background in medical assisting or medical administrative work. 

This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented, empathetic professional to make a real difference in patients’ lives while growing their career with a leading U.S.-based healthcare organization — all in a fully remote environment.
 

What You'll Do

  • Answer and route patient calls and inquiries professionally
  • Verify insurance eligibility and assist with patient intake
  • Schedule appointments, follow-ups, and coordinate with providers
  • Communicate normal test results clearly and professionally
  • Manage electronic records and maintain HIPAA-compliant processes
  • Handle secure e-faxing and other digital documentation
  • Support front office workflows and ensure smooth patient communication

 

What You Need

  • Prior experience as a Medical Assistant or Medical Virtual Assistant
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (preferred) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Experience using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems (any platform)
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Preferred:
  • Professional, empathetic, and patient-focused communication style.
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn new platforms
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining confidentiality

 

Salary & Perks

  • This is a part-time, long-term position. 
  • The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with TLNT.
  • Work from home.
  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (+/- 1 hour accepted) - PST.
