Virtual Rockstar is hiring a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Virtual Assistant for our client's team to support a growing, multi-state rehabilitation clinic network. In this fully remote position, you will play a key role in supporting clinical and administrative operations—ensuring smooth, timely, and compassionate service to patients and families.  

This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for someone experienced in insurance verification, prior authorizations, and claims support. The VA will work across multiple clinics, collaborating with in-person staff to reduce workload and improve efficiency.

Responsibilities:  

Insurance-Related Tasks:  

  • Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits (Availity, UHC, Cigna, Medicaid, Medicare, Railroad, regional payers)  

  • Obtain prior authorizations  

  • Assist with re-verifications during year-end periods  

  • Document insurance details in EMR  

Claims & Billing Expansion:  

  • Support claims follow-up and calls to insurance providers (future phase)  

Patient Intake & Scheduling:  

  • Assist with intake data as needed  

  • Support PCCs in insurance-related workflows  

Communication & Coordination:  

  • Collaborate with PCCs and admin staff for smooth workflow  

  • Attend PCC-related meetings and contribute to discussions  

Data Entry & Documentation:  

  • Maintain accurate insurance and authorization records  

  • Use clinic-provided email domain for secure portal access  



Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in medical admin support or VA work  

  • Familiarity with U.S. insurance verification workflows  

  • Strong communication and organizational skills  

  • Fluent spoken and written English  

  • Comfortable working Mountain Standard Time business hours
