Virtual Rockstar is hiring a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Virtual Assistant for our client's team to support a growing, multi-state rehabilitation clinic network. In this fully remote position, you will play a key role in supporting clinical and administrative operations—ensuring smooth, timely, and compassionate service to patients and families.
This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for someone experienced in insurance verification, prior authorizations, and claims support. The VA will work across multiple clinics, collaborating with in-person staff to reduce workload and improve efficiency.

Responsibilities:
Insurance-Related Tasks:
Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits (Availity, UHC, Cigna, Medicaid, Medicare, Railroad, regional payers)
Obtain prior authorizations
Assist with re-verifications during year-end periods
Document insurance details in EMR
Claims & Billing Expansion:
Support claims follow-up and calls to insurance providers (future phase)
Patient Intake & Scheduling:
Assist with intake data as needed
Support PCCs in insurance-related workflows
Communication & Coordination:
Collaborate with PCCs and admin staff for smooth workflow
Attend PCC-related meetings and contribute to discussions
Data Entry & Documentation:
Maintain accurate insurance and authorization records
Use clinic-provided email domain for secure portal access
At least 1 year of experience in medical admin support or VA work
Familiarity with U.S. insurance verification workflows
Strong communication and organizational skills
Fluent spoken and written English
Comfortable working Mountain Standard Time business hours
