Answer incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries via phone and email.
Schedule and manage appointments, including lost patient and waitlist management.
Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain pre-authorizations for procedures.
Prepare and maintain patient charts and electronic medical records.
Greet patients and provide directions within the facility.
Coordinate with medical staff to manage daily schedules and ensure smooth operations.
Handle appointment reminders and rescheduling requests.
Manage referrals from other healthcare providers and track the status of pending insurance claims.
Liaise with insurance providers to clarify coverage details and assist patients with insurance-related queries.
Generate and send invoices, and assist with data entry and basic report generation.
Maintain a waitlist for appointments and ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
Prior experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
Familiarity with Nextiva phones, Prompt EMR, WelcomeWare (or other virtual kiosk), and Google Chat is a plus.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
