Location: Remote Northern Communities in Ontario (Mooseonee, Moose Factory, Attawapiskat, Fort Albany)
Licensed to practice in Ontario with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) with no restrictions.
Competent in routine prenatal assessments, including documentation and dispensing of narcotics.
Insertion of IUDs.
Administration of Nexplanon.
Suboxone/Sublocade training.
Basic ECG rhythm interpretation training.
Basic X-ray reading training.
Cast training.
Physical assessment skills across all age groups.
Suturing skills.
WHMIS Certification.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC).
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
Heart & Stroke BLS and ACLS certification.
Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NVCI).
Expanse training (Electronic Health Record).
Up to date with COVID-19 immunization and fit-tested for masks.
Prior ER experience or Nursing Station experience is required.
Ability to provide safe, independent, and culturally sensitive care in remote northern communities.
Demonstrated critical thinking and sound clinical judgment in emergency and primary care settings.
Strong communication and documentation skills to ensure continuity of care across interdisciplinary teams.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintenance of certifications.
