Schedule: Day Shift | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Weekly Hours: 40 Hours
Duration: 27 Weeks Contract (High potential for extension)
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Clinical Documentation Specialist (CDS) for a fully remote opportunity supporting a leading healthcare organization. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, complete, and compliant clinical documentation to enhance patient care quality, regulatory compliance, and reimbursement outcomes.
This position is open to qualified healthcare professionals including Registered Nurses (RN), Nurse Practitioners (NP), Physician Assistants (PA), and Physicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze clinical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and consistency
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to clarify and improve documentation
- Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and third-party payer requirements
- Identify opportunities for documentation and coding improvement
- Utilize EMR systems to perform documentation reviews and updates
- Support quality initiatives and maintain documentation standards
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of recent acute care hospital experience and/or CDI experience
- Hands-on experience with EMR systems
- Strong understanding of clinical documentation, coding standards, and compliance requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Licensure / Certification
- Active RN License (Required)
- Open to RN, NP, PA, or Physician backgrounds
