Role Overview

We are working on a project focused on advancing AI systems in the healthcare and life sciences space, specifically within dermatology. The work supports the development of high-quality clinical datasets used by AI researchers, regulatory stakeholders, and healthcare-focused technology teams.

We are looking for experienced academic dermatologists to contribute as senior clinical reviewers. In this role, you will lead the evaluation of complex dermatology cases, provide expert-level clinical reasoning, and contribute to the development of structured evaluation frameworks for AI systems. This position requires strong expertise in clinical dermatology, peer-reviewed research, and structured clinical decision-making, with the ability to assess and articulate nuanced medical reasoning.

CONTRACT: Contractor assignment (4 weeks, Pay-per-task)

COMMITMENT: Up to 40h/week (average ~15h/week), occasional synchronous calls

LOCATION: Remote — United States only

PROCESS: CV review → Interview → Paid calibration assignment

NOTES: Active US license, board certification, and academic affiliation are mandatory. Conflict of interest disclosure required.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead senior-level clinical review of complex dermatology cases
  • Provide structured clinical reasoning and guideline-aligned commentary
  • Resolve clinical disagreements across reviewer groups
  • Contribute to development of evaluation frameworks and methodologies
  • Support AI model evaluation through expert advisory sessions
  • Provide subspecialty input on complex or ambiguous cases
  • Ensure high-quality, clinically defensible documentation
  • Collaborate with peer reviewers and research stakeholders
  • Maintain adherence to clinical and project protocols


Requirements
  • Board-certified in Dermatology (American Board of Dermatology)
  • Active medical license in good standing in at least one US state
  • Faculty appointment (Assistant Professor or higher) at an accredited US institution
  • Minimum 3 years post-residency clinical experience
  • Active clinical practice in dermatology
  • Subspecialty training in dermatopathology, Mohs, pediatric, or complex medical dermatology
  • Publication record in peer-reviewed dermatology journals
  • Strong experience with structured clinical writing and reasoning
