Work Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time

Work days: Monday - FridayΒ 

Rate: $6 - $7 / hour

About the Company

The company is a pediatric therapy provider delivering care to children and their families throughout Orlando, Florida. The practice offers specialized services including speech therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, supporting children’s developmental and behavioral needs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Patient Call & Insurance Tracking

    • Track incoming patient calls and maintain organized records of patient calls and insurance information.
    • Document patient insurance details and maintain accurate tracking records to support patient follow-ups and clinic coordination.

2. Insurance Communication, Claims & Credentialing

    • Communicate with insurance companies regarding coverage, claims, and authorization requirements.
    • Process insurance claims, assist with prior authorizations, and apply medical coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) to support accurate claim submission.
    • Assist with credentialing-related documentation and insurance requirements when needed.

3. Administrative Support & Patient Scheduling

    • Handle patient phone calls, intake, and general inquiries.
    • Schedule, confirm, and follow up on patient appointments to support clinic operations.
    • Maintain and update patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and confidentiality standards.
    • Provide general administrative support including document processing, patient correspondence, and coordination related to scheduling and pre-authorizations.

4. Additional Operational Support

    • Provide billing support, including generating invoices and responding to billing inquiries.
    • Assist with remote patient monitoring by tracking patient health data and coordinating with healthcare providers.
    • Schedule interviews for Indeed candidates and coordinate availability between hiring managers and applicants.
    • Maintain and update supervision tracking spreadsheets to ensure accurate and organized records.


Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar role (Medical Receptionist, Billing Specialist, Patient Coordinator, or Medical Administrative Assistant).
  • Knowledge of medical billing, insurance verification, and claims processing.
  • Experience communicating with insurance providers regarding claims, coverage, or authorization requests.
  • Familiarity with credentialing processes and prior authorization procedures.
  • Experience using TheraBill and Catalyst or similar electronic medical records (EMR) systems and healthcare documentation tools.
  • Familiarity with medical coding standards (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS).
  • Strong English communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle patient-sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Experience with remote patient monitoring or healthcare coordination is an advantage.

Basic requirements

  • Must be proficient in speaking and writing English very clearly
  • Must have relevant work experience
  • Be able to submit an NBI clearance and/or Local Police Clearance background check before onboarding [mandatory]
  • Must be available for video meetings with your camera on (when needed)
