Workplace: Remote

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday

Work Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time (EDT)

Lunch Break: 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM EDT

Compensation: $6.00 – $7.00 per hour

Preferred Candidate Location: Major metropolitan areas such as Manila, Pampanga, or Cebu

About the Company

Our client is a healthcare practice specializing in opioid medication management and addiction treatment. The clinic is dedicated to providing quality patient care through accurate medication management, efficient clinical operations, and compassionate patient support.

Key Responsibilities

As a Medical Virtual Assistant, you will support both clinical and administrative operations to help ensure smooth patient care and daily workflow management. Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct end-of-day pill calculations by reviewing PDMP records, verifying prescription fill history, and tracking patient medication balances.
  • Handle incoming nurse line calls, document patient interactions, answer basic patient inquiries, and escalate clinical concerns when appropriate.
  • Process prescription prior authorizations and coordinate with insurance companies regarding medication approvals.
  • Assist with prescription preloading in the prescribing software.
  • Support basic chart preparation by copying and updating previous patient notes
  • Update and maintain patient records within the EHR system 
  • Perform other administrative and clerical support tasks as needed.
  • Assist with patient follow-ups and support daily office workflow management.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with clinic procedures.
  • Coordinate with providers and staff to support daily clinical operations.


Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Healthcare, nursing, medical assistant, or other relevant clinical experience required.
  • Nursing background or experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare workflows.
  • Experience using EHR/EMR systems; experience with eClinicalWorks (ECW) is highly preferred.
  • Experience working in a medical practice, clinic, or healthcare environment is preferred.

Basic requirements

  • Must be proficient in speaking and writing English very clearly
  • Must have relevant work experience
  • Be able to submit an NBI clearance and/or Local Police Clearance background check before onboarding [mandatory]
  • Must be available for video meetings with your camera on (when needed)
