This is for a Summer Work position and is not considered a BOCES ESY position.

LOCATION OF POSITION: Fairport NY 14450; Rochester City School District � REMOTE
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: August 1, 2026 � August 30, 2026
POSITION AVAILABLE: School Nurse for Sports Requalification, up to 24 hours per week
SALARY RANGE: $32.33 - $52.43 per hour (or higher pending contract negotiations) or your 2026-27 rate in this title for current Monroe One Boces staff
*Actual Salary Is Dependent Upon Education, Experience and Contract.
DUTIES:
1. Recertify students for participation in sports using the Family ID Program
2. Work with a team to include- Athletic Directors, Coaches, and the Boces Nurse Practitioner to review student requalification status.
3. Consult with staff regarding medical and developmental status of children.
4. Liaison with physicians, community agencies, parents, students, and staff
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Civil Service eligibility as a School Nurse:
A. Possession of a NYS License as a Registered Nurse.
B. Graduation from a regionally accredited NYS Registered School of Nursing. 2. Current license and registration to practice nursing in NYS.
3. AED/CPR Certified.
4. Prior school nursing / secondary nursing experience desirable.
5. Familiarity with online sports recertification software- ie Family ID
6. Familiarity with Welligent EHR Program
7. Familiarity with Power Schools Student Management software
8. Familiarity working with New York State Student Immunization Service
9. Physically able to perform the essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation)
